The Corthaine, a biblical relic to the past was found in the ruins of a 2011 tribal village. Its contents containing a message that no one could decipher, till one day a young girl named Leloni Kortal happened upon it in her search for a link to the past world. The year is 2212, 200 years after the Corthaine Tribe was wiped out by war and famine. She searched for answers from the past to help her Tribal Village in the hard times of war. Upon reading the weathered book, an old world photo of a gray wolf fell to the ground. Its corners worn and picture faded, she could barely see the silhouette of the man in the photo. He was hugging another being, but the image, of what looked like a woman, was faded beyond recognition. The image seemed too fragile to handle, as she picked it up, the image tore in half, leaving only the gray being behind. From what she could see of the other being, it had a similar body shape and fur color as she did. She put the half that had survived in back in The Corthaine, then closed it and left to recreate her tribal home.
The days had passed for the orange hedgehog, who was trying to create a plan to pass the words in the ancient text. From what she had read, the writer of The Corthaine was a kind woman, with unnatural powers over the flames. Her mind was rattled by this, a leader who was never corrupted by ultimate power the possessed. Leloni held no powers of this variety, but was a master in combat. She possessed the scars to prove it, one on her left eye and a horrible claw mark on her right hip, each very painful, damaging or both. Her left eye lost some of its vision and her sip injury kept her out of the front lines in the worst time of the tribal war.
As she pondered the words of the book, a familiar face crossed in front of her. He looked at her then at the book. His eyes grew wide with fear, anger and pain. He turned to her, brown eyes staring at her with a cold, pained and saddened expression.

"That book does not belong to you. How the HELL did you get a hold of that book!" She looked at him, taking a closer look, realizing who he was. He continued to glare at her. "Answer me, DAMN IT!"

"No need to be rude," Leloni responded, "I found it in the razed tribal village of Corthaine…"

"You had no reason to trespass on sacred ground. Return that book to me now." He retorted.

"You should know your place. You are in my village, you play by my rules and you have no right to demand the Lord to hand anything over." Leloni stared at this stranger with an intense look, reminding him of the past. "You look as though you have seen a ghost?"

"You just remind me of someone that I once knew…" His voice saddened by this comment. She remembered something that had happened in the past, something that happened long before she was born. Another orange hedgehog that was similar to her in appearance. Fighting, what was an already lost battle alongside her mate, the two of them unable to win, and her losing her life. The same gray wolf was standing before her.
